WEB-COUNTER Easiest I've found. I went for months without a counter because I couldn't figure out how to set one up. None of my HTML books even addressed this problem. This page does it for you. I had a counter in minutes, plus I could register all my pages for individual counts. Very cool.

HTML COMPENDIUM Compendium of HTML element tags and the use of the tags. Great HTML reference.

HISTORY OF THE JESUS PEOPLE MOVEMENT This writing has now been officially published, and is now available as a book. I would not agree with the entire editorial viewpoint, but it is still about the best resource out there in regard to this exciting period of church history.

THE ORIGINS SOLUTION I haven't personally read this, but all the info and the pedigree looks good. I am planning on ordering it, and felt that it would be worth bringing to your attention. Here's the author's words: "I want to bring to your attention a book that resolves the creation - evolution conflict. The problem resulted primarily from mistakes in transmission, translation, and interpretation. When corrections are applied in the Genesis text, the controversy ends. The Origins Solution presents a harmonization of the first eleven chapters of Genesis with history and science. The book is thoroughly documented, helps substantiate the historical integrity of Genesis, and puts the creation - evolution issue to rest in an uncomplicated, reader-friendly style."

REFERENCE:

U.S POST OFFICE The Post Office takes a lot of flak. I for one am a satisfied customer, and this web site is superb. Find zip codes, calculate postal fees for packages, get postal rates, etc.

SWITCHBOARD Searches white or yellow pages in the U.S. for private or business phone numbers. Worked pretty well for me. My own phone number came up with the incorrect city, but actually was the city where the phone company is . They offer a way to correct your own entry. This is kind of like the "Phone Book" software you can buy, but free.

CNN TRANSCRIPTS Transcripts available for many CNN programs including "Larry King Live".

REFDESK Dictionaries, phone books, area codes, government documents,zip codes maps...your one-stop reference site. I like this.

MAPQUEST HOME PAGE Pretty much the standard. Yahoo and many other search engines link to these maps.

YAHOO I use several travel features from this site. Click on "Maps", then "Driving Directions" for GPS accurate information. When I do driving tours, I use these directions and have had only one or two minor glitches ever. Sometimes a little TOO detailed for their own good, they are basically excellent. Another feature I like is found under "Travel". You can check current flight times, and more useful for our family, the exact status of a flight in the air, so you can see if it's going to belate, etc. Very useful for the frequent picker-upper of travelers.

MERRIAM-WEBSTER ONLINE DICTIONARY Always cool to have this kind of stuff.

THE LIST The best list of internet servers I've found. Searchable. Where was this when I needed it? Well, I still need it as I encourage my AOL and Compuserve friends to go straight to the net.
